TERMS: Contract
SCOPE OF WORK
• Contribute to the technical direction for React, React Native, and native iOS development within the product area
• Contribute to the design of scalable, performant cross-platform mobile and web solutions that bridge cleanly with native iOS
• Follow and uphold best practices for performance, scalability, security, and code quality across React Native and iOS codebases
• Participate in technical decision-making and help evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and architecture patterns across mobile platforms
• Contribute to technical design specifications and translate high-level architecture into working software
• Personally deliver production React Native, React, and native bridge code as a primary mode of work
• Use AI coding agents as a core part of the personal engineering workflow: plan, decompose, and delegate implementation tasks to agents, then review, correct, and integrate their output to completion
• Apply strong engineering judgment to validate AI-generated code against architecture, security, performance, and quality standards before it ships
• Apply effective prompting, context-engineering, and verification patterns so AI-driven work remains correct, maintainable, and production-ready
• Own end-to-end accountability for delivered work, whether it originated directly from you or from an AI agent
• Deliver feature development and enhancements for cross-platform mobile and web applications
• Expert proficiency in React Native, React, Expo/EAS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern development workflows
• Work within the brownfield host-shell / mobile micro-frontend pattern, RN New Architecture (TurboModules, Fabric), Native Modules, and typed host bridge contracts
• Implement modern state management patterns (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai)
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and multithreading in cross-platform environments
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitrise, Fastlane)
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code across shared and platform-specific modules
• Working knowledge of Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and Objective-C
• Familiarity with modern iOS architectures (MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture)
• Familiarity with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and modern iOS technologies
• Experience with XCUITest and iOS performance profiling tools
• Knowledge of App Store submission and deployment processes
• Ensure strong testing practices: Jest/RNTL (unit), Detox/XCUITest (E2E), and contract tests for the native/RN bridge
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across cross-platform, native bridge, and iOS layers
• Maintain high standards for code quality, reliability, and maintainability across all mobile platforms
• Participate actively in design and code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to keep team engineering standards high
• Contribute design input and pair with teammates so implementations stay consistent with the product's technical vision
• Break work into well-scoped tasks and deliver to standard
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and delivery teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Champion code reuse and shared component strategies across mobile and web while knowing when native implementations are the right choice
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, backlog refinement) to keep work aligned with roadmaps and timelines
• Maintain awareness of how your mobile work fits across the technology layers of the product
• Identify cross-layer risks, dependencies, and blockers; escalate proactively
• Engage subject matter experts for other technology layers (backend, web, AEM, Android) to resolve cross-cutting concerns
• Ensure that mobile implementations integrate cleanly with native modules, APIs, backend services, and content platforms
• Stay current with React, React Native, iOS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and mobile ecosystem trends
• Evaluate emerging frameworks and methodologies (Flutter, SwiftUI evolution, new React Native architecture) and AI-assisted engineering workflows
• Help adopt modern cross-platform and native mobile technologies and development patterns
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• 10+ years of hands-on mobile development experience
• Expert proficiency in React Native, React, Expo/EAS, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Working knowledge of native iOS development (Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C, Swift Concurrency/Combine)
• Strong understanding of brownfield host-shell / mobile micro-frontend patterns, RN New Architecture (TurboModules/Fabric), Native Modules, and typed host bridge contracts
• Experience with modern state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai)
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and multithreading across cross-platform and native environments
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX, accessibility, and responsive design
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitrise, Fastlane)
• Experience with testing: Jest/RNTL (unit), Detox/XCUITest (E2E), contract tests for native/RN bridge
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with cloud platforms (Firebase, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of App Store submission processes
• Hands-on, delivery-first mindset — the primary value delivered is production code
• Demonstrated ability to use AI coding agents to plan, generate, review, and integrate work at high throughput as a core part of daily delivery
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with product, design, and delivery teams
• Strong end-to-end accountability and a track record of taking delivery fully to completion
• Clear ownership mindset — not someone who leaves delivery responsibility with another organization
• Experience participating in code reviews and design discussions, and collaborating with peers to raise engineering quality

• Familiarity with additional cross-platform frameworks (Flutter)
• Experience designing large-scale, multi-platform solutions
• Strong understanding of mobile security best practices
