TERMS: Contract
SCOPE OF WORK
• Manage the monthly sick & maintenance pay process for crew members that are signed off on medical leave
• Act as the point of contact and subject matter expert for internal operational groups and crew
• Manage the weekly reimbursement process
• Assist in the department accounting process including journal entries and file uploads into the department financial system
• Conduct research and analytical studies, prepare reports that include cost analyses, comparative financial data, and informational data to support findings
• Maintain professional relationship with insurance providers and ensure the proper reimbursement of the company claims receivable averaging $25 million annually
• Train operational groups within the department to ensure systems are used accurately and completely and provide tools to help them manage their business
• Facilitate meetings and problem solve with groups while dealing with a variety of variables in situations where no standard exists
• Meet with managers, process owners and end users to define business, financial and operational requirements, and goals, and identify and resolve issues
• Prepare checklists, periodic and special reports concerning audit and financial results, issues, and systems
• Assist in the administration, integration, and maintenance of departmental data across multiple operational areas
• Coordinate and facilitate access by managers and end users
• Participate or assist in driving initiatives, goals and objectives that support company practices, policies, and procedures
• Prepare departmental presentations and other special projects as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of two to five years of related financial analysis or an appropriate combination of education and experience
• Experience in executing internal controls as part of complying with the laws and regulations of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
• Ability to recognize the existence of problems or potential problems and determine if further research is needed or if assistance
• Strong technical, analytic, problem solving and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
PREFERRED EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s of Accounting, MBA or advanced degrees
