TERMS: Contract
SCOPE OF WORK
• Implement and manage ServiceNow Discovery to automate the identification and classification of IT assets within the organization
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by maintaining up-to-date records of discovered assets and their attributes
• Develop, configure, and optimize Service Mapping processes to visualize service dependencies and relationships between IT components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that service maps accurately reflect the organization’s service architecture
• Create and maintain documentation related to Discovery and Service Mapping processes, configurations, and best practices
• Monitor and troubleshoot Discovery and Service Mapping processes to ensure optimal performance and reliability, addressing any issues that arise
• Conduct regular audits of the CMDB and service maps to validate data accuracy and completeness, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Stay current with ServiceNow updates and enhancements related to Discovery and Service Mapping, recommending improvements to enhance functionality and performance
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on using Discovery and Service Mapping tools and interpreting service maps for IT operations
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices related to asset and service management
• Proficiency in ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping tools, including configuration and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with CMDB (configuration management) and ServiceNow CSDM (common service data model) concepts, ServiceNow Fundamentals and ServiceNow Discovery
• Knowledge of Windows Servers
• Knowledge of Linux Servers
• Knowledge of Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, etc.)
PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of experience in IT operations management, with a focus on ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
• Experience enforcing CMDB management and data governance principles
• Experience with ServiceNow Graphs
PREFERRED EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, etc.)
